Rag Shag Parade Today!

Our live coverage of Greenfield's Rag Shag Parade will begin at 5:30PM. Hosts David Peck and Amanda Jo Parker will provide color commentary and interview some of the participants. As many of you know, Dave is a co-host of "Fat Guys on Film" and a very funny guy. Amanda Jo is on loan to us from Bear Country 95.3, where she is the afternoon On-Air Personality, and she also has a great sense of humor. Don't miss this special event! Also, make sure to check out www.gctv.org after the parade for pictures of the winners.

Together we raised $500 for GCTV and WMCB! Approximately 80 people had a great time laughing and dancing at The Greenfield Grille on Saturday night. The costumes were great and a photo album will be up soon. Special thanks to our Event Sponsors: Skip Hammond, Garry Longe, and Sue Dillon; Raffle Prize donors: John Doe Jr. Records, The Country Jeweler, Bicycle World, Le Petit Cafe, Brad's Place, Valley Tees, Greenfield Games, Jonathan Peterson, Baseball Treasures, and Greenfield Garden Cinemas; Emcee David Peck (co-host of "Fat Guys on Film"); our set up crew: Jason Mazzarino, Sean Griffin, Jeff Valluzzi, Jonathan Peterson, Opeyemi Parham, Jal Kelley-Clark, and Scott MacPherson; The Frugal Jazz Project (Drew Hutchison, Ted Wirt, and Adam Scotera); J & M entertainment; The Greenfield Grille; and to those of you who watched our "Dancing with Drew" video (it was viewed more than 330 times!). It's not too late to party with us!

Tickets are still available, and will be sold at the door ($10 each, cash or check only), so come on down to The Greenfield Grille Saturday night at 8:30PM. The Masquerade Party will start with hors'douvres and a cash bar set to the music of The Frugal Jazz Project. At 9PM they will turn the music over to J & M Entertainment who will help everyone dance the night away until 1AM. Prizes will be awarded throughout the evening for the best costumes, but costumes are not required. Finally, if you haven't watched our "Dancing with Drew" video, please do. It's quite entertaining.

More Reasons to Come Party with Us!

This video was originally conceived as a spoof of the "Where the Hell is Matt?" videos but took on a life of it's own. Our star, Drew Hutchison (producer & host of "Local Bias"), just couldn't stop playing with the costumes provided to him by producer and camera operator Alicia Brody (GCTV Technical Assistant). Even Scott MacPherson (GCTV Station Manager), who edited this promo, could tell that it was a lot of fun to make. Special thanks to Peter John Ross, of Monkeyboy Records, who made his music available online for anyone to use, free of charge, as long as he is given credit.

Special thanks also go to our producers, volunteers, and supporters who made cameo appearances in the video and/or let us film on their property. These people include: George Gohl (co-host of "Fat Guys on Film"), Greenfield Town Councilor Mark Maloney, GCTV intern Jal Kelley-Clark, Brent Eaton (producer of "Windchanger", "Dark Horse", "Silly Wizard", "Eaton do Ryu", and "Encore Body Art"), and Al & Wendell at Bart's Cafe in downtown Greenfield.

Here's another suggestion for getting yourself on the web,

courtesy of "Homegrown" Producer, & GCTV Board Member, Travis Roy:

"I know you all have been thinking of easy ways to facilitate the
production of individual producer webpages. It may be worth checking
into Wikipedia as a publisher for something like this. Wikipedia is
free, has the ability to host text, pics, MP3s, videos (through
youtube emdedding), etc.. Plus the best thing about it: it's extremely
well indexed for general searching and it's widely adopted by most web
users. It could be used as an easy quick site or as an incubator for
producers that might eventually like to have their own domain name,
etc...."
