Podcasting coming to GCTV!

GCTV & WMCB are excited to announce that we are beginning the process of making our programming available as podcasts. To this end, we have uploaded one episode of Tom MacLean's "Imagine", where he interviews GCTV Staffer Philippe Simon about growing up during the Civil Rights movement, to www.archive.org. If you haven't heard Tom's show yet, now is your chance. Since archive.org allows us the option to embed their player, you don't even have to leave our blog to check it out!

2009 Green Fair Video

On Saturday, April 18th, 2009 the Greenfield Business Association sponsored a Green Fair at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. Alicia took a camera up there to capture some of the event. She spoke to many of the participants and is putting together a series of short videos highlighting the most interesting people with whom she spoke. Here is the first one, which happens to be about the first person who caught Alicia's eye that day. As she entered the fairgrounds she heard music coming from an environmental hip-hop artist who was performing live. Check Tem Blessed out!

Don't forget, this and many more videos can be seen on our youtube channel!

The End of An Era

Randy Lively has left the building. GCTV would like to bid a fond farewell to “Dukes of Sports” co-host Randy Lively who filmed his last show here on Monday. Randy is going to be spending his well-earned retirement living on the Cape and, though he’ll miss doing the show with Russ Brown, he won’t be driving back and forth every week to tape it. Randy and Russ together have given us almost eight years of great shows and a large amount of underwriting through their sponsors. All we can say to this wonderful team is THANKYOU and ENJOY THE BEACH RANDY!

In related news Russ Brown is searching for a new co-host and plans to tape a show on Monday. Stay tuned to find out who will be joining him!

Rogue Reporter At It Again

I love how Reba manages to inject some really helpful hints while making viewers laugh. My favorite bit is the opposable thumbs text. Not sure what I'm talking about? Watch this clip! ---Alicia
